Beach Accesses: There are several convenient beach accesses! All you have to choose is how you want to get there; a complementary tram (seasonal) or bikes! Below are 3 of the most popular accesses:
Gulf Lakes Beach Access: The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about 1 mile to the East of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed.
Deer Lake State Park: Deer Lake is located 0.5 miles West of Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (aprox. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.
Santa Clara: Santa Clara access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. *This is the scheduled stop for the Prominence shuttle. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access. If you take the tram, please note that the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Prominence Beach Shuttle runs seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The Town of Prominence offer a large resort style community pool over 5,000 sq ft! 30A Getaway is one home away from the pool with cabanas, grills, bathhouse, and fitness center!
No Pets: No pets of any kind are permitted in 30A Getaway. No exceptions will be made. Guests who violate this policy will be charged an additional $500, plus the expense of steam-cleaning and deodorizing. Violations will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of rent.
No Smoking: Smoking in any form (e.g. cigarettes, cigars, “e-cigarettes” or “vapes”) are not permitted in 30A Getaway. No exceptions will be made. We greatly enjoyed the beaches and house was nice. Had some communication issues, but once I reached Christian he was very helpful and I very much appreciated his attentiveness and prompt response to our issues.
Very accommodating and easy to work with. I made 2 calls about the trash pickup and a leaking sink, which you guys were there within a couple hours to fix. Can’t complain about anything and would definitely rent through you guys again. The house was perfect. Very spacious, walking distance to the pool and a short ride to the beach. Access to garage would have been nice to store our beach equipment and golf cart. Short of that the house was perfect.
We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Everything was perfect with the Townhome that we had. The Prominence 30A experience was wonderful. The Hub provided nice entertainment for us after we had our dinner in the evenings. We will surely make a return to this area.
Enjoyed our stay. House was spacious and new. Decorations were tasteful. Plenty of towels for our stay. Super close for the hub/food and pool. Beach was a short 5 to 10 minutes drive away. Management also responded fairly timely with any questions. The only complaint was the floors did not seem clean and felt sticky. After walking on the floor for 5 minutes, our socks turned black, Would not have been a big deal but we have a crawling toddler who puts her hand and everything in her mouth.
This was the perfect house for our families’ vacation. Clean and serene. Great development in a great location. Enjoy this wonderful house.
We had such a wonderful and relaxing trip. The house was perfect and pretty baby proof. We really enjoyed The Hub spot. We will be back.
It was a great stay and everything was lovely at the condo. The beach access is a little challenging as the state park filled up by 10 a.m. This is the truly only walkable beach access that we could figure out.
We had a great stay. Great amenities loved being close to the Hub! Although I would suggest a hose outside the house to be able to clean off sand after a day at the beach to reduce the amount of sand being brought inside.
We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was beautiful, clean, and well stocked. Great place!
Rental was beautiful, well maintained and nicely provisioned. Our only objection was that the listing was somewhat misleading. It listed that three bikes were included. They were available but there is an additional charge.
The guise was nice overall. A few issues with master closer shelf being broken and the kitchen sink was loose and moving all over. That was the biggest issue. We enjoyed our stay overall though.
Great townhome, location, and community. My family of five had a great stay over the last week, our 2nd trip to 30-A with many more to come.
The house and community are beautiful and convenient. We enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend to the community to re-number York Lane so that there are not two #24 York Lane. On the 3rd night of our stay another group tried to open our door after hours. They we're looking for the other 24 York Lane. In such a small community, it seems unnecessary to number homes with the same address on the same street. Minor as it may seem, an air conditioning register rattles in the master bedroom while blowing air. It's loud enough to be very distracting at night. Finally, the fitness facility by the pool is too small. I highly recommend this unit , the Prominence Community, and The Hub for vacations. Biking to the beach was easy and the three bikes provided with the unit made life easy.
