30A is a scenic stretch of highway down Florida's beautiful Gulf Coast between Destin and Panama City Beach. The highway connects the coastal villages of South Walton through the undisturbed beauty of rare dune lakes, sugar white sand, and emerald blue waters indigenous to the area. Each village has its own unique characteristics that paint a fairy tale like scene against some of the country's most beautiful beaches. Beach Accesses: There are several convenient beach accesses! All you have to choose is how you want to get there; use the complementary tram (seasonal) or bikes! Below are 3 of the most popular accesses:
 
Gulf Lakes Beach Access: The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about 1 mile to the East of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed.
 
Deer Lake State Park: Deer Lake is located 0.5 miles West of Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (aprox. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.
 
Santa Clara: Santa Clara access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. *This is the scheduled stop for the Prominence shuttle. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access. If you take the tram, please note that the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 
The Prominence Beach Shuttle runs seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
 
Community Pool: The Town of Prominence offers a 2 large resort style community pools! The New South Pool is located just a short walk from the home and features a stunning fire pit! The North Pool is over 5,000 sq ft and is just a short walk across 30A with cabanas, grills, bathhouse, and fitness center! 
 
Nearby Restaurants: Nearby restaurants to The Town of Prominence 30A include The Hub which offers several restaurants including - Reds Chicken Shack, Crave Roadside Burgers, Mile Marker 15, Local Smoke, American Drinking Post, Mr. Freeze, The Hub Taco Truck, as well as many more!

We love staying near the Hub since it’s so family friendly and there’s always something happening. This house was overall very nice, but there were a few inconveniences....we had to purchase a can opener for the kitchen since the one that was there was broken. The kitchen supplies in general were limited (not great for cooking in house). The ice maker did not work, and the ice dispensing machine at the Hub was empty most of the days we were there. There also were not any board/card games, and very limited items for beach use. I know this is picky, but we’ve stayed at several houses where all of these things we didn’t even have to think about. Again, overall a good stay and we will be back to the Prominence area!

We loved the home! Very spacious, the non bunk beds were comfortable, and convenient location! Only one negative and that was the front door lock. We could never get it to lock. Unsure if it was due to user malfunction or what.. Other than that, we loved our stay and will be recommending!

Beautiful home, quiet neighborhood, and very clean! The bikes and golf cart were SO nice. We also really liked the location. The Hub and pool areas were convenient, and it was only a short drive to the beach-hoping that they add beach access with the new construction! I do wish the kitchen had a few more items (like a cookie sheet or pizza pan), and the dishwasher was not the greatest. The WiFi was super slow with multiple people in the home. Streaming a movie was near impossible. Just a couple of little things, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

The home we stayed in was a beautiful home and it looked exactly like the pictures online. The community was fabulous and the location was great. There were a few issues that we found when we got into the home such as roaches in a few places including the fold out sofa which was pretty gross. A lot of them were dead so it appears that the home was sprayed right before we got there and they decided to come out and die during our stay. Another issue we had was the pillows and fabric on the sofa could have used a good cleaning, it wasn't filthy but there were water stains and food stains on it that should have been cleaned before a group of 14 stayed. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would use BeachWalk again in the future.

Let guests know about the beach access on Lakewood Drive. The accommodations were very nice. The only issue we had was the electronic door lock on the rear door quit working so we could not get in or put. One of our party lost 2/3 of a day of vacation waiting on a repair man to arrive. The property manager was very attentive and got someone called right away. Overall we were pleased with the home size and accommodations.

Wonderful home! Bikes and golf cart were a huge hit with all our boys! And the Hub was a fun perk! Only downside is the lack of beach access.. That was pretty frustrating... But even still.. The little community is awesome!!
