Beach Accesses: There are several convenient beach accesses! All you have to choose is how you want to get there! Below are 3 of the most popular accesses:
Gulf Lakes Beach Access: The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about 1 mile to the East of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed.
Deer Lake State Park: Deer Lake is located 0.5 miles West of Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (aprox. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.
Santa Clara: Santa Clara access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence.
Community Pool: The Town of Prominence offers a 2 large resort style community pools! The New South Pool is located just a short walk from the home and features a stunning fire pit! The North Pool is over 5,000 sq ft and is just a short walk across 30A with cabanas, grills, bathhouse, and fitness center!
Nearby restaurants to The Town of Prominence 30A include The Hub which offers several restaurants including - Reds Chicken Shack, Crave Roadside Burgers, Mile Marker 15, Local Smoke, American Drinking Post, Mr. Freeze, The Hub Taco Truck, as well as many more!

Overall, our stay was fantastic! The house is beautiful and oh, so peaceful. Towels a plenty which feels rare for a vacation rental. The community is unreal! The zero-entry pool was so great for our toddler to walk into and out of on her own. There were plenty of cabanas, and we always found a place to set up in the shade. The Big Chill (formerly The Hub) was so neat! Super family friendly. The lobster roll from Catch 22 was fantastic! Everyone we interacted with was super kind and friendly. We will definitely be back! It was truly an amazing location! Things to consider (for future guests): There is a vehicle in the garage, so that is not an option for parking a larger vehicle. The driveway is also too short for our mid-size SUV. If we couldn’t find parking on the street then we had to parallel park in the driveway which we couldn’t necessarily figure out if that was explicitly against the HOA rules or not. The beach shuttle that was advertised wasn’t running the week of our visit. I’m not sure why. The drive to the beach access was maybe 10 minutes, and arrival had to be timed well to get parking. This isn’t a super toddler-friendly house. There is no tub. There are lots of little “interesting” things like decorations and the drawer microwave right at their level. Bring your own baby gates! Things to consider (for property management or owners): There is something wrong with the dryer. It cycles through all the different settings and beeps non-stop. It also took several cycles to dry a load of clothes or towels. The main television remote downstairs needs some TLC. The back won’t stay on. Also, maybe consider updating the TV setup with access to streaming services, even with guests’ own logins. Like the main tv didn’t have YouTube installed which again was a pain point with a toddler. And the default setting is to cable when apps are king at the moment. But these are very, very minor, nitpicky things. Overall, our stay was more than we could have asked for, and we are extremely pleased with our vacation! It was truly amazing!
The house was fantastic and had lots of space. Having bikes available easily was really great. Pools and neighborhood were nice. The beach was not easy to access, but we knew that going in.
What a wonderful experience! First the management company was super responsive and kept us informed throughout our stay. From check-in to check-out, the process was seamless. Second…the home was beautiful and our stay there was amazing! This home’s location was walkable to the Big Chill, so after a long day at the beach, it was great to walk over at at night eat and enjoy the entertainment without getting back in our car. As far as the home, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and welcoming place stay. We loved the 3 screened porches and the large open plan. I remember walking in and loving the high ceilings, the cream ship lap walls, all of the light pouring in from all the windows, and the openness of the home. The beds slept great and the home was immaculate. We would definitely book here again!!
This was our first family vacation since pre Covid. It was much needed and much appreciated. The home is beautiful and the location is central to all the cute little communities on 30A. The rental and check in process was easy. The communication from this company is excellent. Now for a few specifics: 1. Plenty of towels 2. Could have used more washcloths 3. If you have toddlers, know that there are stairs and you may want to bring a baby gate 4. Plenty of bikes, beach chairs, beach toys, floats 5. Would have liked a golf cart 6. Also, if you have littles, there is no tub Overall, the home was comfortable and beautifully decorated in a beach theme so you really felt like you were on vacation!
Our stay at 40 Pleasant was great! This home is beautifully decorated and excellent for quality family time! Upon arrival, there was a random car in the garage and created some initial confusion. We enjoyed the bikes and the pools! One thing to consider, would be to update the beach chairs to back pack chairs bc of the commute on the bikes. The only thing in the home would be to add fans on the porches so guests can enjoy those lovely spaces. Also, a golf cart would have been great bc our son was in a boot & my Father had knee surgery. Upon trying to rent one, the management company let us know that it is not permitted in at this home.
We really enjoyed our visit and the home we stayed in. Everyone in the family had plenty of space. We enjoyed our bike rides to the beach and a little local shopping. Also enjoying all the food at the Hub. Great location and easy access to Rosemary and all of the charming surrounding towns. We did not have a working refrigerator for the first two days which was a bit inconvenient, but eventually a repair man did come out.
Absolutely adored this house, location, vibe- all of it!! Everything was so clean upon arrival. Location to all things 30A is perfect! Shuttle to the beach is so nice! We used two community pools and loved it. Everyone was so friendly in the Prominence area.The Hub was so convenient and family friendly. And the food!! Very yummy! Parking is a little tricky, but if that’s your only issue for the week, you’re going to love it!
Everything was great at our rental. Check-in and check-out were both straight forward and easy. And the house was beautiful, clean, and well appointed.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, relaxing home at this great location. There are a few suggestions for improvement: - Leave a couple more trash bags to meet a week's stay needs. - Wifi instructions should be printed in the home. We got in the house but then could not access any other information due to poor cell and no wifi access. We had to leave the house and drive to another location to open the welcome letter. - TV instructions need to be updated. - Hand soap should be placed at the kitchen sink
We absolutely loved everything.
The home was a great place to stay. It looked just like the pictures. I don’t have any complaints but want to point out a couple things. I think some of the pots/pans provided can be replaced. Also we had a problem parking our car. The parking spaces seem to be for a compact car because our car could not fit. I wish the cellular signals were better. Myself and my guest were unable to use our phones. The reception in the house was really terrible. Not sure if it’s the entire area or just the house. We followed all instructions provided. Other than that, we had a great stay there!
This home is beautiful, comfortable and centrally located to all the fun, beach access, the Hub, etc. We loved our stay. We will be back every time we are in the area. Thank you for a great stay!
The home is beautiful and spacious. Our family really enjoyed being close to the hub and a short drive away from several beaches.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was as staged in the pictures minus blankets. The home was clean and check-in/out was easy. Very close to the pool and the hub. The outdoor furniture could’ve been dusted a bit but everything was really great!
